Symptoms of Diabetic Gastroparesis
Gastroparesis is actually quite a common disorder amongst people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This gastric disorder causes food to linger in the stomach longer than normal– causing nausea and even vomiting. Even more problematic is the effects it can have on a person’s blood sugar (glucose) levels. If you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, then gastroparesis can make it much more difficult to manage your health condition. The most common symptoms of gastroparesis include:
- Fluctuating blood sugar levels
- Heartburn or acid reflux
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Reduced appetite
- Abdominal pain
- Abdominal bloating
