According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, a staggering ⅔ of adults in America are considered to be overweight and more than ⅓ of adults are obese. To make things worse an estimated ⅓ of children between the ages of 6 and 19 are considered to be overweight or obese.
These are frightening statistics and all the more reason to be conducting clinical trials on effective and more importantly healthy weight loss methods. Our team at Avail Clinical Research is dedicated to helping improve the overall health of the community through our studies and a big part of it is helping people maintain a healthy weight to reduce the risk of weight related diseases.

What are the Best Ways to Lose Weight?
If you are looking to lose weight there are a few things you can do to begin your journey to a healthier, happier you.
We all know the importance of exercise in losing weight, but you don’t have to spend hours at the gym to reach your weight loss goals. Spending just 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, performing moderate exercise such as walking briskly will help you burn calories and get your heart rate up.
Dieting may be the most important thing you can do to lose weight. It is not always easy, but getting off a high fat diet and moving to a low fat, high fiber diet can be immensely beneficial not just for your weight but for your overall health. There are many diets out there and we encourage you to do your research and find the one that is best for you.
Stress can play a big role in your health and your body weight. Finding ways to relieve stress is important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. When you feel good you tend to make good choices for yourself.
You may not realize, but getting the right amount of sleep can really benefit your weight loss goals. Studies have shown that people who get between 6 to 7 hours of sleep typically have more success in accomplishing their mission to lose weight than those who get 5 hours of sleep or less and those who get 8 hours of sleep or more.
